GL American Life Inauguration

It was a pleasure to participate at the inauguration ceremony for the GL American Hospital in Bamako, Mali. US Ambassador Paul Folmsbee, USAID Mission Director Scott Dobberstein, Rotarian Sunny Akuopa and Rotarian Sounkalo Dembele were also in attendance. For the first time in Mali there are angiograms, angioplasties, and stentings being performed locally. In addition, innovative osteopathic and prosthetic surgeries are now available to meet the needs of the community. The GL American Hospital is now a focal point for local Rotary Clubs as a partner in addressing the needs of the community. The hospital is just the beginning of many exciting opportunities for the GLA group in Mali.
